Today begins the Florence Design Week 2016. The appointment is in Florence from 15 to 19 June, coinciding with Pitti Immagine. The new edition of the international festival of Life Style, with the theme “United”, proposes a week full of collective dimension of design, art, crafts and creativity, in pop style.
The LABA actively participates in the exhibition with an installation of Graphic Design Students in the National Library of Florence. Each student participated by providing their own interpretation on an issue that had been assigned to produce a colorful and nice card, ready to be shipped.
Emotional design, research and innovation are combined for a week with the Florentine artistic heritage for a dialogue dedicated to new businesses and big brands, where targetted-appointments, meetings and business networking combine with the conviviality and the art of living.
Among the locations chosen to host numerous events:Ā Palazzo Borghese, Grand Hotel Minerva,Ā galleries and private studios for the circuit OFF!!
The initiative is aimed at creative cities this year, through design, integrating citizens of different cultures.Ā It is also aimed for designers that prefer to designĀ including the input of trasverali disciplines, to design solutions that include in their work a strong ethical orientation and environmentally friendly.
Florence Design WeekĀ also means space for young artists, partnerships with schools of design, selection of proposals by designers from emerging nations. Youth enrichment with meetings, roundtables and numerous occasions to meet industry experts.Ā Every year Florence Design Week becomes a must for professionals, teachers, tourists, citizens and professionals, Italians and foreigners.
