ACADEMIC COURSE IN VISUAL ARTS & PAINTING

The Visual Arts & Painting major of LABA in Florence is designed according to the Ministry’s new academic system (3+2). At the end of the first three years of studies, the student receives the ‘Diploma Accademico di 1° Livello (equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree).

The course prepares the students to work in the Painting and in the Visual Arts sectors, resulting in career paths that range from affirmed artists to professionals in digital applications for visual arts and multimedia for art.

It addresses the various aspects of all-round Visual Arts, from painting techniques to aspects of video-art, from performance to etching, without forgetting the aspects of digital designing of visual solutions for the creativity sector.

CURATOR

Oversees all of the aspects regarding the organisation of an art exhibition and is skilled in terms of content, setups, organisation, promotion and financial management of the event. The curator works on behalf of museums, cultural institutions, art galleries and foundations, and also seeks new talents to promote on the art market.

ART DIRECTOR

The figure of reference within a company for the creation of original contents for the communication of added values. Develops an aesthetic concept and a brand capable of expressing the fundamental ideals of the company. Pursues specific graphic coherence for the development of innovative artistic concepts.
