Located in the southern area of Florence,  the Libera Accademia di Belle Arti of Florence occupies a building with a 1000 m2 floor plan that includes workshops fitted with state of the art multimedia equipment.

The entire building has complete fiber-optic Internet coverage, while each classroom is equipped with video projectors, LED screens that provide for interactive lessons, and professional grade audio systems.

The Academy also provides its students with approx. 200 Macintosh computers, graphic tablets and photo cameras.

The Academy’s equipment also includes many Mac computer stations complete with all of the programs used for post-production, editing, 2D and 3D modelling and animation, CAD, interior design and CAD for fashion design.

WORKSHOP EQUIPMENT

LABA has two Photography Studios complete with lighting systems and excellent shooting equipment (Nikon, Canon and Sony cameras). There is also a dark room for developing, fixing and printing analog pictures; equipped with magnifiers, optical benches, developing and fixing basins.

The Academy has computer rooms each with 20 Mac computer stations, plus printers and HD scanners used for teaching purposes in the Design and Graphic Design courses.

The Design workshop allows students to experiment the most diverse Design model production techniques, using classical modelling machinery as well as 3D printers.

The Painting Workshop consists in a large room in which each student has his/her own space for fully expressing his/her own personal style, using all sorts of techniques. Human models are supplied for nude life painting lessons.

The Fashion workshops provide 20 sewing machines, professional irons and a digital tablet for the production of models needed for making articles of clothing.

EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS

LABA’s educational programs consist of five first rate academic courses:

Upon completion of the courses, students receive their ‘first level academic diploma’ (diploma accademico di primo livello) that is equivalent to a three-year Bachelor’s degree.
