Students who are not EU citizens who want to enroll for a period exceeding 3 months need to make a request for an Entry Visa for Study Purposes to the Italian Embassy in their country. LABA of Florence will issue a Certificate of Enrolment to students who apply for this entry visa, only after receiving the enrollment fee and only for the duration of the course booked. If the visa application is rejected by the Italian Embassy, after receiving the Certificate of Enrolment, the student has the right to receive a reimbursement of the total amount less Euros 100 (+ bank charges) for administration costs.
STAYING VISA (PERMESSO DI SOGGIORNO)
After having obtained the entry visa, it is not possible to cancel or change the dates of courses. Once in Italy, every non-EU student must request a Staying Visa “Permesso di Soggiorno” from the local Police (Foreigners Office) within 8 days of their arrival. LABA of Florence takes the responsibility to inform the Authorities in case of no-show for 3 consecutive days, without any justified reasons.
DECLARATION OF VALUE (DICHIARAZIONE DI VALORE)
The necessary condition for the enrollment at LABA of Florence is the high school diploma; not EU citizens must obtain the DICHIARAZIONE DI VALORE from the Italian Embassy or Consulate where they got their educational qualification.
The Dichiarazione di Valore is an official document which provides a short description of a certain academic qualification, awarded to a specific person by an institution belonging to an educational system other than the Italian one. The Dichiarazione di Valore is issued in Italian by the competent Italian diplomatic authorities located in the country to which the awarding institution refers to. It generally contains the following information:1) legal status and nature of the awarding institution;(2) access requirements for the program leading to the qualification;(3) legal duration of the study program and/or overall workload in terms of credits;(4) validity of the qualification in the awarding system/country for academic purposes.
The LABA of Florence has signed an agreement with Linguaviva concerning the learning of the italian language. Courses proposed by language school allow students to follow the training courses offered by our institute.
For deadlines it is recommended to contact the italian consulate in the city where you live.
